This is how your GPRS mobile phone can be used as a modem to access the internet on the go! for example, a desktop running windows operating system, Built-in or USB,Bluetooth and a Nokia PC Suite is used for example. Some screen shots may be different in your PC, but the idea is the same!It is assumed you are not technical about modem installation as the case is for many people. You can install PC suite for your type of mobile phone on your PC by following the step by step installation process. This helps you to automatically install your phone modem software on your PC without passing thru the technical stages you might find challenging. Remember that ALL Bluetooth mobile phones work effectively with connection process.



After the istallation of your PC suite, and your computer syncs with your mobile phone,you must have successfully installed the modem software as well. All this process should not take you more than 30mins to finished

Step By Step PC suite intallation

WHAT YOU NEEDs

A, A bluetooth GPRS enabled Mobile Phone
B, An MTN GPRS enabled mobile sim card (You can enable your MTN sim card by simply texting SETTINGS to 3888 or doing a manual configuration on your phone).
C, A PC suite (This software comes with your mobile phone if you purchase it new. If you don.t have it, U visit any software shop and request for DKU5. Request for the specific software for your e.g. Nokia, Motorola, and Sony Ericcson). For Nokia phones, you can download the PC suite for model thru http//www.nokia.com

D, A freedom software ( You can download the latest software thru d links : http//www.your-freedom.net/ems-dist/freedom-20090112-01.exe).

E, Mozilla firefox =if you don't have this browser, just type Mozilla firefox browser in the search bar of google.com or ask.com to download the latest version of this software).


You can connect your computer to the internet with all this.


ESTABLISH A CONNECTION WITH YOUR COMPUTER
You can establish connection thru bluetooth or cable. Note that cable transmits faster tha bluetooth while is faster than setup that cable.

CONNECTION USING CABLE

I will be using Nokia phone to explain this connection for its popularity,but the same principle guides any other phone. And if at all there is need for you to get a phone, recommeded Nokia phones like 6239,6230i,6300,3110c,N70 or 6288. The cheapest out this phones is 6230 go for second hand if u can afford the new one.
